Spruce Community Referral Program

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before redeeming referral credits.  For  questions, please reach out to your assigned Account Manager or engagement@getspruce.com.

Spruce offers, with the approval of your management company, the option to enroll into the Spruce Referral Program to all contracted partnered communities. 

How to earn referral rewards:

  • Refer your residents to Spruce services.
  • When a resident creates a Spruce account, they are asked how they heard about Spruce services.  
  • If the resident chooses “From Staff At My Property”, the team, collectively, will earn $20 per referral in Spruce credits once the resident’s first service is completed.
  • Spruce credits are banked and an updated balance email is sent to the community at the beginning of each month.  

Accrued (or purchased) Spruce credits are kept within a community bank until the community is ready to redeem for Spruce services as resident gifts.  Spruce services make excellent “thank you” and recovery gifts and can be incorporated with lease or renewal specials.

Spruce credits can be redeemed in the form of set amounts or by service (ex. 1 Premium Housekeeping).

How to redeem referral rewards:

  • Reach out to your assigned Account Manager or engagement@getspruce.com.
  • Provide the resident’s name, unit number, unit size (ex. Studio, 1/1) and gift type.
  • A gift card will be created for the community to give to the resident.
  • Any amount over the credit balance will be invoiced to the community. 

Conditions:

  • A community must be partnered through a signed Spruce contract to take advantage of the Spruce Community Referral Program. 
  • Any credits provided by Spruce can ONLY be redeemed as a Spruce gift card towards resident services.
  • No Cash Value and gift cards cannot be redeemed for community services. 
  • Any credits transferred to a resident’s account (directly or through gift card code) are non-transferable and cannot be applied back to the community account/bank.
  • Spruce requires, in writing, any request for credits to be applied or gifted to onsite associate residents to be accompanied by Regional Manager approval.
  • Services and pricing are subject to change and may vary by market/location.  
  • If a property credit bank includes Spruce Sales Incentive credits, these incentives expire 12 months from the community launch date. 
  • In the event of a management change, Spruce credits remain with the community and cannot be transferred to another community within the former management company.
